ADAPO
launches crowdfunding campaign to help with bills with veterinarians
ADAPO is
launching a Crowdfunding campaign to help it pay an amount of around 6 thousand
euros in 3 veterinary clinics they work with. This outstanding amount has to do
with the cost of sterilizing the animals, urgent treatments, vaccinations,
deworming the animals, chips, etc.
ADAPO
annually helps hundreds of animals and now needs civil society to help them
alleviate part of the debt they owe, as well as raise funds to buy food for the
animals.
At the end
of the campaign, the respective receipts for the payment of open bills at the
clinics, as well as for the purchase of food, will be published.
ABOUT ADAPO:
They are a
non-profit association created in May 2004 by Célia Caravela in Olhão and their
mission is to improve the living conditions of animals. Initially, they
intended to reduce the number of stray cats through the mission “Catch,
sterilize, return” and have been developing the work until today, creating a
refuge for many of the 70-90 kittens.
With the
support of the municipality of Olhão, volunteers work to capture, sterilize and
treat when necessary. The cats are returned to their colonies and are regularly
fed by the volunteers. When this is not possible, they are sheltered in the
refuge.
