After holding a bicycle auction to raise funds to mitigate the effects of the pandemic on children, Orbea now re-teamwith UNICEF. This time the goal is to help the children involved in the different armed conflicts that exist in the world. According to UNICEF, one in four children suffers daily from disasters or armed conflicts.

With this campaign, the Spanish company gives the possibility to any cycling enthusiast, club, brand or entity to join the initiative, allowing UNICEF to bring emergency supplies to these children, such as drinking water, food or medicines, as well as offer protection, monitoring and psychosocial support to this highly vulnerable group anywhere in the world,  in the most difficult moments and when necessary.

The minimum to participate is a donation of 10€, which can be made through the campaign website (https://www.kukumiku.com/unicef-orbea/). With these contributions, UNICEF will be able to carry out actions such as:

  • With 30 euros, UNICEF can provide drinking water to 73 children for one month in case of emergency.
  • With €50, UNICEF can provide a full day of food for 22 children in case of emergency.
  • With €80, UNICEF can deliver 1 first aid kit.
